About The Audio Owl

The Audio Owl is a project born from a love of sound. Sound is all around us and it has a great impact on our day-to-day lives. The sounds we hear might influence the way we feel and might even influence our actions.

Sound is a powerful thing!

Much like the real world, the sounds used in your music will influence the way your music is perceived. The timbre of each instrument should align with the theme of your music.

That’s why we are here!

What We Do

Our goal is to supply music producers, bedroom producers, and DJs with good sounding, high-quality drum and instrument samples that work right “out-of-the-box”.

Good Sounds

We love to record everything we can, from toy synthesizers to real drum machines to synthesized sounds. If we hear something in the sound, we will record it.

High Quality

Analog is key, we send our samples through things like tape decks, guitar pedals, amplifiers, effects racks, basically whatever we can get our hands-on.

Out-of-the-box

We also strive to provide a playable instrument right after download. No pesky installs, just load up the sample or drum kit into your favorite DAW and start creating!

Each of our sample packs is crafted in-house and requires a lot of time, patience, and practice to achieve the quality sound we do. Our samples are perfect for all levels of music production, musicians, producers, and DJs.

Mike P – Musician, Writer, Creator

Mike is the primary writer and content creator here at The Audio Owl. He is an experienced Ableton Live producer and has been playing music for 15+ years.

In his late 20s, he was a DJ and electronic music producer in Toronto, Canada. Now, he spends his time digging through old cassettes and recording anything that makes noise.
